All residents are welcome!

The OWEA monthly meeting will be held July 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Black Kite.  Our featured speaker, Ed Hill, will discuss the Library’s new interactive exhibit featuring houses of the Old West End, and its plans to expand the content to include information about all homes in the Old West End. 5k Stampede

The OWE 5k Stampede kicks off Sunday morning of Festival. You start and finish this certified 5k race with the world famous Toledo Museum of Art as your backdrop. The run/walk has grown each year in popularity with the regional running community. The 5k winds its way through the historic tree-lined streets of Toledo’s Old West End.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
5k Race & Walk begins at 9:00 a.m. Rain or shine.

Old West End Business Networkers Meeting

The next Old West End Business Networkers (FKA Entrepreneurship Committee) meeting hosted by the Entrepreneurship Committee will be at Judy Stone’s home. The address is 2428 Scottwood, Toledo Ohio, 43620. The meeting is Wednesday March 13th, 6:30 - 8:00. We will be further detailing our next edition of the Business Directory, and planning the advertising for the Autumn Market.

Boiler/Radiator Education Class

This is the next class of a series sponsored by the Preservation Committee of the Old West End Association. Guest speakers Dan Voegli (of Voegli Heating & Air Conditioning) and Gary Douglass (OWE neighbor representative) will be on hand to answer your questions about general maintenance and operation of your home's boiler & radiators to help you keep them operating for years to come. Many thanks to the homeowners for this opportunity. This class is free and open to neighbors who want to learn more. Street parking is available on Floyd & Parkwood. Old West End Association Meeting

The annual holiday gathering of the Old West End Association takes place Tuesday, December 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Black Kite. Join us to catch up with old friends, make some new ones, and eat, drink, and be merry! The Association will supply the main dish and beverages, soon to open restaurant The Olive will supply some pizzas, and neighbors feel free to bring a side dish or dessert to share! Roundabouts Public Art Project Info Meeting

Kent Branch Library

The Arts Commission’s Art in Public Places Program is partnering with Mercy Health to commission public artwork for roundabouts in the newly constructed Cherry Street Coridoor.

You are invited to hear an overview of the project, learn about the sculpture acquisition process and meet the members of the Design Review Board who will select the artist.
