Call to Artists

The Old West End Festival and the Art Fair Committee welcomes you to participate in the 2017 Art Fair. This year’s Art Fair is once again teaming up with the world-renowned Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) and will be located in the garden surrounding the Glass Pavilion. The Art Fair is part of Toledo’s largest outdoor neighborhood festival, which includes historic home tours, entertainment, children’s activities, a huge parade and food court.

Application deadline extended to May 26th.

Note: Booths are $125 (12’ x 12’ single) and $200 (12’ x 24’ double).

All artwork must be of the highest quality and the original work of the entrants. No commercially produced items will be allowed. The committee reserves the right to remove any artist’s work that does not meet these standards.

Upon acceptance, information on accommodations, restaurants and local attractions will be mailed.

Judging of individual artwork will take place Saturday morning. Cash awards will be distributed following the judges’ results. The 1st place winner will receive free booth rental for the following year.

Early setup is available on Friday from noon until 5 pm. Please indicate if you want early setup on your application. No space numbers will be announced until Friday noon. Normal setup hours are from 7 am until 9:30 am Saturday morning. We encourage Friday setup.

By submitting your application, you have agreed to abide by all rules and regulations stipulated during this outdoor art fair exhibition. You will also hold harmless the Old West End Association and all festival committees from any damages to your property and any personal injury which you may sustain while participating in this year’s Art Fair. All artists must store their art work at their own risk. The Old West End Festival does not carry insurance to cover your personal property. As an independent contractor, you are advised to carry your own insurance. All work must be designed and executed by the accepted artist. Artists must exhibit, oversee and remove their own work and must be present both days. The artist will handle all sales and must obtain a vendor’s license which is available at the Lucas County Auditor’s Office, One Government Center, Suite 600, Toledo, Ohio 43604-2255 (www.co.lucas.oh.us/license/pdf/vendorapp.pdf). Pets are permitted at the Art Fair but must be kept on a leash at all times. We do not have electrical or water lines available. Artists booths must be setup and remain open during festival hours. Leaving early will disqualify you from future festivals. Festival hours are from 10 am - 5 pm Saturday and 10 am - 5 pm Sunday.
