Our May work day will be on Sunday, May 16, 9am-noon.

We will need neighborhood volunteers to help plant a couple of trees, spread mulch, plant ground cover around 2 trees (Glenwood parcel) where the grass doesn’t grow, plant flowers, etc.

New this year for the Splendor For Sancha OWE Preservation Extravaganza being held on Saturday, May 16th. 

Just 20 lucky bidders will win their seats to revel their seats at the Royal Court Table to revel with the incoming and outgoing Queen Sancha and King Wamba. Ticket bidding will be live throughout the month of April and will close in early May. An extraordinary 8-course dining and drinking experience shared amongst 24 celebrants at the High Court Table will truly be night to remember! Potential Sancha guests can read thru the ticket bid form and submit their bid and their contact information, which records onto a tracker to watch the actual bids. Once the bid period closes, the top 20 ticket bidders will then be contacted to process their payment. Minimum bids start at $150.00. 

The Preservation Committee, all of the volunteer chefs and servers look forward to this great fundraiser!

The Libbey House Foundation and Women of the Old West End will present a Mother’s Day Tea on Sunday, May 17. There will be three 90-minute seatings available: 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM. Enjoy your choice of delicious tea from an assortment of teas, tea sandwiches, and scrumptious desserts. Tickets are $40.00 per person.

Reservations required. www.libbeyhouse.org. All proceeds go to preserve and maintain the Libbey House and support programs for the Women of the Old West End.

Ford Mansion (7:00 pm)

The general membership meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month. All neighbors are encouraged to attend these meetings and get involved.

“Cocktails for Gary,” a celebration of life will be on June 5th at 5:00 p.m. at his home, 2736 Robinwood Ave.

The Helens are Romping Again!

OWE Fest, June 7 and its a long walk!

You have seen these kaftan-clad ladies romping the Festival on Sunday. I’d love a couple of golfcarts to join us from noon-2 pm as we stroll the neighborhood to help a Helen out if she gets a little pooped.

We will gather at the Toledo Museum of Art and romp through the festival’s Art Fair and Marketplace through neighborhood to the Arboretum.

Several neighbors are even providing a beverage or a bite for our roving Mrs. Ropers. Join us for a fantastic time!

Costumes aren’t required, but encouraged. It’s a really fun bunch.
