The Arts Commission’s Art in Public Places Program is partnering with Mercy Health to commission public artwork for roundabouts in the newly constructed Cherry Street Coridoor.
You are invited to hear an overview of the project, learn about the sculpture acquisition process and meet the members of the Design Review Board who will select the artist.
The OWEA meeting takes place on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Pride Room at Collingwood Arts Center - 2413 Collingwood Blvd.
Our “Know Your Neighbor” segment will feature the owners of Olive, the Italian scratch kitchen opening in the Black Kite Building. Come hear about their plans!

The topic is Basic Wood Stripping, using a variety of methods. Neighborhood instructors will be on site to demonstrate their process using a heat gun, chemicals and steel wool. This class is free to neighbors who would like to improve their skills in removing paint and stain from wood doors, trim, etc. Tremain is located off Ashland Avenue between Collingwood & Bancroft. Please park in the Girl Scouts lot off Collingwood and enter thru the property gate. The event location will be across the cul-de-sac. If you are sensitive to chemical smells, please bring a mask.
Our next Old West End Association is a joint effort of OWENI and OWEA to host a community workshop on handling Facebook Conflict. Join us Tuesday, September 18, at 6:30 at the Scott High School Cafeteria.
We will have community-building exercises, tools, and other resources for promoting understanding in a small group workshop setting, which will be led by expert facilitators from right here in our neighborhood. Bring your questions and concerns, no matter what they are. We will work together to help build a more cohesive social media platform for the neighborhood we all know and love. Catering will be provided by the donation-based Toledo chapter of Food Not Bombs.
RAIN DATE: due to weather, the The Trade -N- Post will now be on Saturday Sep. 15th. Hours are from 10am-4pm, in the Arboretum (corner of Delaware and Robinwood). All proceeds benefit Old West End Entrepreneurship Committee and the ARJA (Arboretum).

Join us to discuss status of vacant houses in the neighborhood, update on Historic Commission happenings, education classes planned for the neighborhood, and any other issues that come to mind.

2018 Summer Concerts! 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in The Arboretum (corner of Delaware and Robinwood). Bring a Blanket or Chair and your favorite snacks. Donations will be accepted during the concerts.

Join us for the next Old West End Association Entrepreneurship Committee meeting on Thursday July 12 at 6:00pm in the Collingwood Art Center's Pride Room.
We will schedule and discuss the logistics for our annual Trade-N-Post event in the Arboretum as well as the meeting schedule and educational/networking events for the rest of the year.
