OWE Cushing Utopia, Volunteer

Rock the Block

The OWE Cushing-Utopia Addition is asking for volunteers for their Rock the Block event on Saturday, May 18th from 10 am to 1 pm. This spring clean-up is a neighborhood revitalization effort where neighbors help neighbors complete beautification and exterior home maintenance projects, at no cost to the owner or resident.

624 Delaware Project- WORKDAY

We will be having a workday this Saturday, September 16th starting at 10am and finishing at noon. We will be doing interior demo work and some exterior projects, including moving some wood, some stone work and yard work.

We will have hammers, pry bars, extra gloves, lawn equipment and plenty of trash bags.

All hands on deck for this project! Every little bit we can do with volunteers is invaluable!!! Stop by for a short time or come and work for 2 hours!! Many hands make for light work!!! Bring your favorite tools, all your friends and we will find a project for you!!

See you Saturday at 10am. !!!!!!

2022 Annual Cookie Sale

Yes we are having a Cookie Sale fundraiser this year. Like last year, the ARJA Board will have only two size boxes for sale with an assortment of our neighbors “home baked” cookies in each. Size and shapes vary. Drive thru Pick-up will be on Sunday, December 11, 2 to 4 pm at Collingwood Presbyterian Church, 2108 Collingwood Blvd.

CALLING ALL BAKERS! HELP WANTED!!

It’s that time again! The Annual Cookie Sale is coming up on Sunday, Dec. 11th and we need your help to make this major fundraiser for The Agnes Reynolds Jackson Arboretum another astounding success. Neighborhood Litter Pick Up

Join us to pick up the neighborhood this Saturday, May 21, one last time before Festival. We will target Bancroft. Meet at the Dollar General at 9:30am to get supplies (bags, grabbers and gloves provided), and then we'll spread out in both directions. Please note the slightly earlier time as we want to avoid the rain if possible!

624 Delaware Workday

The 624 Delaware revitalization Project is having a workday on May 14th at 9 AM . Everyone is welcome.

We are working on removal of walls and lath for the construction carpenters can start work. A few things...

  1. you must sign a release prior to entering the house

  2. we will have work gloves, mask, and safety glasses if you need them

  3. some tools will be available but feel free to bring your favorite demo tools.

  4. extra buckets would be great for moving debris to dumpster

  5. Many hands make for light work...bring extra friends with you!!!

We will start at 9AM. We hope you can help!!!
