Commons Park & Glenwood Park Work Day
Special Joint Effort: Hosta Transplant Project
This month features an exciting collaboration! WOWE is teaming up with Joyce Singer and the Glenwood Park Neighborhood Coalition to thin the hostas at Commons Park and transplant them to Glenwood Park, helping both green spaces flourish. This is a bigger undertaking, and we need a large group of volunteers to make it a success.
Two ways to help:
• Before the 17th: Volunteers are needed to help prepare the beds at Glenwood Park so they’re ready to receive the new plants.
• On the 17th: Volunteers are needed to divide, transport, and plant the hostas at Glenwood Park.
If you’re able to lend a hand with either part of this effort, please reach out:
• Joyce Singer – glenwoodparkcoalition@gmail.com
• Tammy – wowe1969@gmail.com
Whether you have an hour or the whole day, every bit of help makes a difference. Thank you for continuing to invest your time and care into the green spaces that make the Old West End such a beautiful and welcoming neighborhood.
Workdays start at 9:00 AM with food and beverages for volunteers.
