LOCKWOOD-GLOWACKI HOUSE 2461 ROBINWOOD AVE.
The Jay C. Lockwood home was built in ca. 1910. Mr. Lockwood was a Managing Partner for a Real Estate firm located in the Gardner Building downtown.

This Spanish Colonial Revival shares many elements with the very closely-related Mission Revival and Pueblo styles of the west and southwest. The Arts and Crafts Movement was behind those architectural styles and characterized by the use of smooth plaster stucco walls and chimney finishes, and low-pitched clay tile roof. Other details include small balconies, Roman or semi-circular arcades and tall, double-hung windows canvas awnings. The deep overhangs match those on the garage and it's sideways placement on the lot further sets this house apart from its late Victorian neighbors.
