CARTWRIGHT-ALBRIGHT HOUSE 2375 ROBINWOOD
Isaiah and Ida Cartwright built this Grand Queen Anne in 1897. Mr. Cartwright was a nursery man; he would have been delighted by the English Gardens surrounding the home, which were created by the current owners. Notice the three layers of bay windows on the north side of the house, the third story bay set off by windows that open like shutters and window boxes full of gorgeous blossoms and trailing greenery. Part of the wrap around porch is enclosed to provide a sunroom and the front gable ornamentation is typical of exuberant late Victorian architectual detailing. The house had been duplexed in 1938 but much of the exterior has been left intact.
